For our client we are looking for an Expert (f/m/d) in Quality Assurance for a PaaS.
Start: 02.06.2025
Duration: 30.09.25 (long term engagement (2026))
Capacity: 100% if possible
Location: 75% Remote, 25% Berlin (1 week Berlin / 3 weeks remote in rotation), up to 50% onsite in peak times
Role:
- The DevOps Enablement (DOE) product line streamlines developer workflows on the EDP platform by reducing overhead and automating tasks, allowing developers to focus on business logic.
- DOE provides tools across five key areas: the Collaboration Suite (Jira, Confluence), CodeBuild (CI for automation and source management), Deployment (CD with Kubernetes and ArgoCD), Security & Compliance (AquaSec, Sonar), and the Developer Portal, which serves as a self-service hub for interacting with all DOE products and platform services.
- QA is a pivotal task within DOE product line, and therefore takes responsibility for overseeing the Quality Assurance (QA).
- Ensuring of QA processes and policies, designated tools, procedures and tasks are completed delivered by DOE.
- Technical Coordination with project stakeholders such as product leadership, Squad Leads, Scrum Master and Delivery Lead for establishing and maintaining robust QA processes and practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
- As part of the DOE Architecture Board and therefore consults on architectural decisions and defines the architecture of the tools used for testing (e.g. TestKube, Testrail, tofu-tests).
Skills (must-have):
- Hands-on experience in automation of UI testing
- Proficiency in REST API testing
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps
- Experience in test documentation for clear and structured testing processes
- Knowledge of Kubernetes-native testing, e.g. Testkube
- Deep understanding of GitOps mechanisms
- Fluent English in speech and writing (at least B2)
- Fluent German in speech and writing (at least B2)
Skills (should-have):
- Experience with backstage.io as well as the Atlassian tools Confluence and Jira
- Experience with Python and PyTest
- Experience with TestRail
- Familiarity with public clouds like GCP
