For our client we are looking for a Kubernetes/IaaS Product Manager (f/m/d).
Start: 01.09.2025
Duration: 31.12.2025 (long term engagement (2026))
Capacity: 100% if possible
Location: 75% Remote, 25% Berlin (1 week Berlin / 3 weeks remote in rotation), up to 50% onsite in peak times
Language: English, German is a plus
The customers team is building an internal platform for software product developers to accelerate the development and
delivery of software products to tackle the massive challenges facing the energy sector. The Platform is a service
oriented, cloud-native platform that is being built to provide application teams with self-service capabilities to develop, run and operate their software products. The Platform provides services for application infrastructure, data, service lifecycle management, application build and delivery as well as services to operate their software products. The Platform is deployed as a hybrid cloud, encompassing both private cloud and selected public clouds.
Product Vision & Strategy
• Initial Analysis for understanding and synthesizing of the customer needs, pain points, and jobs-to-be-done related to
Kubernetes/IaaS.
• Development of a clear product vision for the Kubernetes/IaaS product aligned with the company's strategy, particularly the overall objectives for reliability, self-service, and operational excellence.
• Creation a well-defined product roadmap that outlines key milestones, features, and enhancements, ensuring the
team's efforts are focused on delivering value to our customers.
• Communicate the roadmap for the Kubernetes/IaaS product to relevant stakeholders effectively.
• Analyze industry trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies related to Kubernetes/IaaS, identify product gaps and opportunities for feature enhancements or new product offerings.
Product Delivery
Objective: coordination with product teams to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality Kubernetes/IaaS features and drive continuous improvement
Tasks:
• Prioritizing of features and user stories based on business value, customer feedback, and market trends, ensuring
efficient use of resources.
• Coordination with cross-functional stakeholders including engineering and architecture to ensure features are
delivered on time and with high quality, removing blockers and clarifying priorities as needed.
• Coordination with internal QA teams to define and maintain high-quality standards for product releases.
• Coordinate with operations stakeholders for smooth feature rollout.
• Monitoring of the progress and ensure continuous improvement of Kubernetes/IaaS features.
• Providing technical coordination within the organization, including dependency analysis and priority recommendations.
User Enablement & Adoption
Objective: Maximize adoption and effective use of Kubernetes/IaaS capabilities among product teams using the platform
Tasks:
• Consultancy of customers and stakeholders to understand their needs.
• Gathering feedback and insights to identify improvement areas and incorporate it into the product development
process, ensuring customer needs are reflected in the product roadmap.
• Promoting of Kubernetes/IaaS capabilities through internal communication, showcases, and direct stakeholder
engagements to ensure teams understand how to integrate them into their daily work.
• Drive initiatives to educate and enable users, such as creating self-service onboarding guides, demos, and best practice documentation.
Skills (must-have):
• A minimum of 3 years of product management or product ownership experience in an IT Infrastructure-near or
distributed system environment like kubernetes.
• experience with at least one public cloud platform (Kubernetes, Networking, Cloud Storage and Monitoring).
• Experience in managing or developing IaaS (e.g. VPN, DNS).
• Experience in gathering and prioritizing requirements, conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical
stakeholders
• Experience in creating a clear product vision and strategy and associated product management artifacts (Roadmap,
Product Specifications, Feature Backlogs, Product Descriptions etc.) in the voice of users/customers which are
aligned to that strategy.
• Experience in implementing communication strategies and in conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical
stakeholders.
• Experience in coordination within cross-functional international projects.
• Experience in analytical and problem-solving in a fast passed environment, including in taking decisions informed by
the position of many stakeholders.
• Proficiency in both speech and writing in English (at least C1).
Skills (should-have):
• Relevant certifications in product management or cloud technologies are a plus.
• Experience with test-, behavior-, observability-driven development.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, SAFE, JIRA, confluence).
