For our client, we are looking for a "Senior / Lead Quality Engineer (m/f/d) End-to-End Quality Assurance & Test Automation"

Project Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Lead Quality Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality digital service solutions through robust testing strategies, end-to-end quality oversight, and collaborative engagement within an agile, cross-functional environment. This role plays a critical part in shaping and maintaining high testing standards, driving both manual and automated quality practices, and coaching team members to elevate overall quality maturity.

Auslastung: Full-time (100%)
Einsatzort: Remote with 1 week per month on-site in Düsseldorf

Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and communicate clear test strategies, test plans, and test cases
- Execute manual and automated testing across end-to-end flows
- Ensure comprehensive test reporting, including risks, status, and results, with proactive communication to stakeholders
- Take full ownership of quality assurance across the lifecycle—not limited to test execution, but ensuring E2E flow integrity
- Co-create and continuously refine the testing strategy with the broader team rather than working in isolation
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks
Use modern test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or comparable solutions)
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable
Ensure frameworks support regression, E2E, and scenario-based validation
- Partner effectively with product owners, developers, architects, and other quality engineers in an agile setup
- Transparently communicate challenges, blockers, and availability
Mentor and coach junior and mid-level team members on testing methods, quality mindset, and automation principles
- Work effectively in an intercultural environment, adapting communication and collaboration styles

Experience & Skills
Hard Skills:
- Proven ability to create comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases
- Strong experience in manual functional testing
- Hands-on experience in automated testing and maintaining test automation suites
- Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining test automation frameworks
- Solid understanding of end-to-end testing practices
- Ability to produce clear, meaningful test reporting

Soft Skills:
- Agile mindset with experience working in agile product teams
- Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, respectful, and proactive
- Strong ownership mentality with a focus on E2E quality, not just test execution
- Collaborative approach; ability to co-create strategies and processes with the team
