Für unseren Kunden sind wir auf der Suche nach einem VMware Experten (m/w/d) Automation.

Laufzeit: 26.4.26 - 12 Monate (++ bis zu 3 Jahre)

Auslastung: Full

Remote/Onsite: 90/10 (might be all over Germany)

German language mandatory, public sector experience advantage

A highly experienced specialist for VMware-based virtualization and automation in enterprise data centers. Ensures the delivery of high quality

technical implementations, complex design execution, and service quality assurance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Implementing technical designs in data center environments

• Conducting code and concept reviews

• Ensuring service quality (detailed concepts, implementation, staging)

• Advising service experts (3rd level support)

• Selecting appropriate tools, frameworks, and platforms

• Contributing to market analyses and collaborating with architects

Required Competencies

• Several years of experience in data center operations (UNIX/Windows, virtualization, enterprise systems)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Structured, independent working style

• Excellent communication skills in German (spoken and written)

• Skilled stakeholder management

• Highly practical implementation orientation

Technical Requirements

• VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, vRA/vRO, vROps

• Automation: Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell/PowerCLI, CI/CD (GitLab/GitHub)

• Operating systems: Linux (RHEL/SLES), Windows Server

• Storage: Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NAS, enterprise arrays (NetApp, Dell EMC)

• Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, vROps

• Databases: MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle (basics)

• Networking: VLANs, routing basics, firewalls

• Security: CIS Hardening, RBAC, certificate management
