For our client we are looking for a Lead Backend Developer (f/m/d) Python, Kubernetes, ArgoCD.

Tasks:
- Design and development of data catalogue and data mesh tools and services to support the federated software architecture.
- Definition of solution architectures for a distributed service family with high security and high reliability requirements
- Development, operations and maintenance of these applications in cloud-based or on-prem k8s clusters, using Helm, ArgoCD and Grafana
- development of CI pipelines and deployment with Azure DevOps
- development of REST interfaces with Python and FastAPI
- Documentation of implemented features (e.g., for security or architectural reviews)
- Participation on scrum meetings and work with scrum rituals
- project related coordination with backend development, data science, data architecture, frontend development, and data engineering
- project related coordination with project stakeholders, to consult with data-related technical questions and define requirements for infrastructure and software
Skills:
- Experience in taking a lead development role in a backend focused team, including participation in Security and Dev Guilds
- Experience working in Scrum methodology
- Extensive experience in designing and developing on platforms (e.g., Backstage)
- Extensive experience in designing the solution architecture in a distributed system (strong understanding of microservice architectures and event-driven systems)
- At least 3 years of professional experience developing robust backend applications in Python
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (including Helm Charts) and ArgoCD (or similar GitOps tools).
- Solid conceptual knowledge of software design patterns, scalability, and continuous integration practices
- experience with Angular and/ or React Framework
- experience with Azure Deployment Pipelines
- experience with concepts: Data Mesh, Data Contracts, Data Quality, Data Governance
- Proficiency in both English and German (C1 level or higher).
