For our client, we are looking for: SAP SEM-BCS & BW/BI Specialist (m/f/d) – Financial Closing, Consolidation & Reporting Support.

About our client
Our client is an internationally operating company with a modern SAP system landscape and a strong focus on efficient financial processes, consolidation, and data-driven reporting. To support ongoing business operations and ensure high-quality monthly closings and reporting, the company is seeking experienced external consultants who can cover both SAP SEM-BCS and SAP BW/BI topics.

Key Facts
Start: August 2025
Workload: Up to 80 hours per month (Time & Material)
Remote: Yes, with onboarding by internal staff
Duration: Until end of 2026
Language: English required, German is a plus
Engagement: Staff augmentation (external substitute for unfilled internal positions)

Responsibilities
Provide support for ongoing business operations, monthly closing, consolidation, and ticket support in SAP SEM-BCS and BW/BI environments
Customize and maintain master data, accounts, validation rules, layouts, and data uploads
Manage and adapt authorization concepts (authorization objects, roles, profiles)
Maintain and manage SAP BW/BI data repositories (Cubes, DSOs, InfoPackages, DTPs, etc.)
Define and manage data loads and process chains
Develop and optimize financial and statistical reporting solutions using Bex Query Designer and SAP Analysis for Office
Maintain and adapt AfO (Analysis for Office) input sheets for monthly and annual closing
Support the integration and validation of financial data for statutory and management reporting
Provide programming support in ABAP and VBA
Work closely with business users (approx. 80% of ticket support involves direct business contact via email, Teams, or in-person)
Handle ad-hoc troubleshooting and support for business user inquiries
Participate in the continuous improvement of reporting processes and data quality

Skills
Profound expertise in SAP SEM-BCS (Application 7.50 SP 19), including Customizing, Workbench, Task Management, Job Management, Validation Rules, Financial Closing, and Authorization Concepts
In-depth experience with SAP BW/BI (Release 748), including data modeling, ETL processes, process chain management, and data repository maintenance
Proficiency in Bex Query Designer and SAP Analysis for Office
Programming skills in ABAP and VBA
Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting, financial consolidation, and statistical reporting processes
Excellent communication skills in English; German is an advantage
Independent, proactive working style and ability to integrate quickly into existing teams
Service-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple support requests independently

Onboarding and knowledge transfer will be provided by internal staff
Standard SAP system landscape: development, integration, production, and sandbox environments
The position is designed for experienced professionals who can deliver high-quality support in a complex SAP environment
Most support requests require direct communication with business users
Flexible, remote working environment with a long-term engagement until end of 2026
