Für unseren Kunden sind wir auf der Suche nach einem Solution Architect (m/f/d) VMware-based data center (inkl. network/ security, storage, monitoring, automation)
 
Laufzeit: 26.4.26 - 12 Monate (++ bis zu 3 Jahre)
Auslastung: Vollzeit
Einsatzort: 90% remote, 10% onsite (might be all over Germany)
Sprache: German language mandatory, public sector experience advantage
 
An expert architect (m/f/d) with deep technical knowledge in VMware-based data center design, networks, storage, monitoring and automation. Responsible for architectural concepts, best practices, and high-complexity solutions.
 
Primary Responsibilities
• Analyzing project requirements and preparing technical specifications
• Designing network and security solutions
• Planning and implementing complex migration projects
• Selecting tools, frameworks, and platforms
• Conducting concept reviews
• Troubleshooting high-complexity virtualization/network issues
• Delivering knowledge transfer, training, and project oversight
 
Required Competencies
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, VLAN, VRF, QoS
• Strong IPv6 experience
• Experience in high/low-level network design
• Familiarity with BSI Grundschutz, security concepts, enterprise networks
• Knowledge of overlay technologies (e.g., VXLAN)
• Experience with public-sector customers
 
Technical Requirements
• vSphere architecture, multi-site deployments, HA/DRS design
• Network design: BGP, OSPF, switching architectures, segmentation
• Storage architecture: SAN/NAS concepts, multipathing, performance tuning
• Automation/IaC: Terraform, Ansible, GitOps
• Security: zoning concepts, encryption, identity integration
• Migration tools and methodologies
• Monitoring architecture: Prometheus, ELK/EFK, vROps
• API integration and CMDB experience
