We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) for our client.
 
In a critical IT operations environment, you will support the stable and secure operation and further development of DevOps and delivery capabilities. The aim is to professionalise build, deployment and monitoring processes for containerised microservice applications, ensure reliable delivery and guarantee a high level of transparency regarding system statuses – in an environment with high requirements for availability and operational reliability.
 
Framework parameters
- Start: 1 April 2026 (ASAP)
- Duration: max. 8 months (option to extend)
- Workload: 100%
- Location: 95% remote, 5% Berlin area
 
Your tasks
- Setting up/optimising CI and build processes (pipelines), including automation and standardisation
- Implementation and further development of continuous delivery/deployments, especially with Argo CD
- Operation and further development of containerised microservices (including container ecosystem)
- Support in the platform/operating environment around Kafka, Ceph and PostgreSQL
- Implementation/further development of monitoring & observability (including Grafana)
- Troubleshooting, incident/problem analysis and sustainable technical solution implementation in the DevOps context
- (Optional/depending on setup) Collaboration on cloud-related topics and deployment of cloud-native workloads
 
Experience & knowledge (must-have)
• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps engineering
• Very good knowledge of the build process (CI/pipelines)
• Extensive expertise in deployments (CD) with ArgoCD and Helm, including Helm Chart support
• Very good experience with microservices and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Very good experience in Kafka, CEPH and Postgresql
• Very good experience in monitoring (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, Loki and OpenTelemetry)
• English at least C1, C1 German skills optional
 
Optional, additional knowledge
- Good understanding of cloud platforms
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps (as well as a basic understanding of tooling in the CI/CD environment)
- Experience in deploying cloud-native workloads
- Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and Kafka messaging patterns
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to sustainably resolve technical issues
