For our client, we are looking for a Db2 Database Administrator – z/OS (m/f/d)
 
Duration: 25.5. - 31.12.26
Workload: Fulltime
Location: Remote work is standard - but:
Onsite presence expected during peak or critical phases (Frankfurt/FFM)
 
Max hourly rate: 77,50 EUR.
 
Language: English (German is advantage)
Shoring: Germany + Nearshore
  1. Customer require to onboard a Db2 Database Administration – z/OS no later than the last week of May to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
  2. The customer’s internal staff will leave by the end of May, necessitating at least one week of structured handover to mitigate operational and continuity risks.
  3. The role provides Extended Service Management for the Kyndryl zCloud System (z/OS).
  4. Immediate onboarding with occasional onsite presence in Frankfurt (FFM) is essential to enable effective handover, stakeholder alignment, and service stability.
 
The objective of this optional service is to provide functional and operational support in the Db2 environment, in particular to stabilize, optimize, and support the platform on a project-specific basis.
Within the scope of the respective assignment, the optional DBA service includes in particular:
  1. Functional administration of the Db2 environment (e.g. backup/recovery support, DDL adjustments, space management)
  2. Support during production transitions and planned database changes
  3. Functional analysis and evaluation of performance and capacity topics
  4. Support for Db2-related maintenance activities and release upgrades
  5. Functional participation in DR tests from a database perspective
  6. Development and maintenance of automations and scripts (e.g. CLIST, REXX, Python)
  7. Support with database-related security, certificate, and cipher topics
  8. Documentation of the actions carried out and results achieved
  9. The optional DBA service is delivered as a standalone, outcome oriented service
